Laurie Lynne grew up in Meriden, CT with a flair for creating things. She inherited vintage beads from Paris and that sparked a lifelong love of jewelry making. She started teaching polymer clay jewelry, and when one of her students' daughters asked for a craft birthday party, Creative Girl was born.
She earned her degree from Middlesex Community College in 1996 studying design and business, opened a studio on Main Street in Middletown in 2016, then went fully mobile to reach more people across Connecticut.
She has taught 144 people at a single UCONN campus workshop and has been invited to demonstrate live on WTNH News 8 multiple times.
